Robin Hugh Gibb (22 December 1949 – 20 May 2012)
Now you’ll walk down that great lane. Rest in peace.
Some links…
Hey ya’ll. Don’t know if any of you are familiar with Rock’s Back Pages, but it’s an online library/database of some of the best music journalism and it’s a great resource. In order to have full access to all the articles, you have to be a paid subscriber, but they also make several articles “free” every week (you’ll just need to create an account & they’ll send you a password, I think). This week, with Robin’s passing, here a few of interest:
- Audio Interview, 9 February 2001 — A great interview with so many great anecdotes! Even though I find the journalist a bit irritating at times.
- “I don’t sing with my voice, I sing with my heart…” —A classic interview from 1969. I’m linking to The Guardian’s transcript of the article ‘cos I’m not sure if the whole thing is available for “free” users on Rock’s Back Pages….
Happy reading/listening! If you’ve read any noteworthy tributes/articles/etc., please submit them!
